Promote Donation
Anyone can be an advocate for donation; here are some simple action items that can have a big impact:
- Send e-postcards to family and friends. It is a creative way to share your decision to be a donor and to invite others to register themselves.
- Place an article in newsletters produced for your community, religious, civic, or service organizations. Email Living Legacy to request an article.
- Distribute registry brochures to help inspire friends, neighbors or colleagues to become organ, eye, and tissue donor. Email Living Legacy to request registry brochures.
- Invite a trained high school education speaker to your classroom or youth group.
- Start a campus challenge on your college campus.
- Write a guest editorial to your local newspaper endorsing donation. Email Living Legacy for help writing a guest editorial.
- Ask your employer to become a workplace partner for life.
- Ask your boss to adopt the Give 5-Save Lives program allowing your colleagues to register as donors at work.
- Invite a Living Legacy Community Advocate to come to your community, religious, civic, or service organization to share a donation story. Email Living Legacy to request a speaker.
- Fill a table at the Annual Giving Luncheon.
